Gwen Dickey (Rose Royce)
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi USA, GWEN DICKEY was the voice of ROSE ROYCE. She had an amazing period of success from the late 70’s to the early 80’s with 3 platinum selling albums with classic hits as:
1977 Car wash, do your dance
1978 Wishing on a star
1979 Is it love you’re after

Gwen Dickey has since embarked on a solo career and she enjoyed her first success when she joined forces with “KWS” on Chaka Khan’s classis hit: 1994 Ain’t noboby.

In 1998, Gwen Dickey has a new single release. This time she has teamed up with the international rap artiste JAY-Z for a brand new version of the Rose Royce hit: "Wishing on a star". Released on the North-West Side Label she is back in the charts in the U.K., Germany and Scandinavia. Later that year the single is released also in the U.S.A. and South America.

Gwen new vocals sound just as great as ever and she returns to her familiar position as one of the world’s leading soul vocalists.
